Google Messages is growing to be the best version of itself. Just recently, the default Android messaging app by Google received an exciting feature called RCS (Rich Communication Services) with the Chat feature. Not to mention the recent end-to-end encryption for all the messages and SMS you send through your phone. The latest features we are excited about today are the most awaited pinch to zoom text and pin conversations to top.
As the name suggests, pinch to zoom text enlarges the text in conversation. This is especially useful for those who have difficulty reading texts. It works the same as zooming in on any image in the gallery.
Text enlargement for SMS was the most asked feature by the community to Google. Earlier, one needed to change the default font size from phone settings. Now, all you need to do is open an SMS or message and simply zoom into it by pinching it with your fingers; just like you would do with an image on the phone.
Another great feature that is rolling out to Google Messages is the pin to top features. Using this feature, you can pin conversations to the top so they are easily accessible whenever you open the messaging app. This feature is readily available for Samsung users in the stock message app. This was the one feature I missed the most when I switched to Android Messages, a long time ago. However, the pin conversations to top option won’t show up for everyone right now. You will need the latest beta app for that.
