    Root simply means you gain access to the core files of the Android OS on your smartphone. With root access, you can modify or make changes to the core system and make the most of your Android device by personalizing it. The SuperSU project now has come a long way with support to Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware as well as the latest v 6.0.1. Listed here are the latest SuperSU files that will help in rooting your Android device running on any of the Android OS greater than Android 4.4 KitKat- like the popular Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware. Here, you will see how to root Android devices running on Android Nougat, Marshmallow, Lollipop, and KitKat.

    A simple way to root any Android devices would be to download latest SuperSU version and flash via TWRP. For that, you will need the TWRP recovery setup and also need to unlock the bootloader on your Android device. This method is applicable to many Android devices from most of the manufacturers like Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony, Xiaomi, Huawei, YU, Motorola, and much more. Alternatively, you can simply install the SuperSU APK file from Google play Store and update the binaries, provided your device is compatible and have unlocked the bootloader as well.

    Download new stable SuperSU v2.79 SR3 to root Android 7.1 Nougat
    Flash SuperSU v2.79 SR3 stable For Android Nougat

    How to Root Android Device using SuperSU package on Android 7.1 Nougat / 6.0.1 Marshmallow/ Lollipop/KitKat?

    If your device is compatible then simply download the SuperSU APK file from Google play store and update the binaries.

    If the binaries fail to update, then you will need to download and install the latest custom recovery from TWRP via this download page. You will also see an installation procedure there or just visit it from this page. First, make sure you setup a custom recovery like TWRP before you proceed and take a full Nandroid backup.     Note: Make sure if your device needs a bootloader unlock. Most of the devices need an unlocked bootloader before flashing TWRP. Once TWRP is setup, then it’s no problem to flash the SuperSU package. you are all set to flash the SuperSU zip file.

    If you are using Samsung device, the CF-AutoRoot is the simplest method and doesn’t need bootloader unlocked or even TWRP.

    How to Root Samsung Galaxy Devices running on Android 7.1 Nougat Marshmallow/ Lollipop/ KitKat with SFAR and TWRP?

    If you want an alternative way to root a Samsung galaxy devices, then you will first need to setup TWRP recovery and then root your device by flashing the latest SuperSU package via custom TWRP recovery.     What’s New with SuperSU 2.79 SR3?

    SuperSU 2.79 SR3 Changelog:

    – Fix erroneously deleting SuperSU’s copy of app_process on 6.0 since 2.79-SR1
    – GUI: Fix app_process requirement detection when supersu context used
    – Fully eliminate sugote binary, no longer needed due to SELinux handling improvements in earlier versions
    – Support /system/xbin/sush as default shell
    – Adjust LD_PRELOAD filtering to exclude suhide’s libraries
    – ZIP: Motorola: default to systemless mode
