The Cyanogen OS team has done it again. The development team today came up with a new Cyanogen OS 13.1 version that will take your OnePlus One to a new firmware build number ZNH2KAS1KN. This new firmware is still Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based, but brings some critical bug fixes, performance enhancements, and basically brings some stability to the stunning Cyanogen OS ROM. The CM team earlier released similar CM 13.0.1 build update for the OnePlus One that brought the new Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow build for the same. However, this brand new CM 13.1 (C OS 13.1) ZNH2KAS1KN firmware update provides critical security fixes, improved stability/performance, product upgrades, and new mods for Cortana, OneNote, Microsoft Hyperlapse, Skype, and Twitter.
As the Cyanogen OS team has just announced their version 13.1 update a few hours ago, we only have the incremental OTA update for the CM 13.1 ZNH2KAS1KN. It comes directly from the Cyanogen OS servers. The fastboot and full firmware file flashable through TWRP may soon pop up on their support page. So keep track of this page and stay updated. How to Install Cyanogen OS 13.1 ZNH2KAS1KN On OnePlus One?
You can install the OTA using stock recovery. For a detailed tutorial and the latest stock recovery for the OnePlus One, head over to this page: Install Official CM 13 ZNH0EAS26M Marshmallow on OnePlus One Cyanogen OS 13. As this is the incremental OTA update file for OnePlus One, you cannot install it using stock recovery. The OTA has not been tested on TWRP recovery. So if you are looking forward to installing it via custom recovery, then you better backup.
Secondly, you can also update OnePlus One to C OS 13.1 using fastboot files and restore it to complete stock. This requires ADB and fastboot method. the fastboot file will – Restore/ Revert back to Stock on your OnePlus One with the latest fastboot file, Restore OnePlus device to factory state or OEM, Unroot or uninstall custom recovery like TWRP from your OnePlus One.
